Ugh, I hated how skin pores made my skin look and feel all bumpy. I know pores are essential for the skin, but I wanted clear and smooth skin, and really who doesn’t? Naturally I searched high and low to find something to get rid of these pesky pores. Spoiler: you can’t actually get rid of pores. I know, disappointing isn’t it? WIth my expectations a bit grounded, I redirected my search to find something that would at least help with how my pores looked and felt.
After false promises and products that’d harm my skin, I eventually came across the Medicube Zero Pore Pad. An exfoliant formulated to promise to shrink enlarged pores and make my skin smooth. I decided to try it out and the results were noticeable. Keep reading to find out..
Overview of the Medicube Zero Pore Pad
Before getting into how these pads worked, I feel like an overview is warranted. The Medicube Zero Pore Pad uses chemical exfoliants like lactic acid and salicylic acid that remove dead skin cells and excess oil which makes pores look more noticeable. I bought them off from Luxplus UK since I live in the mainland UK. I got my order in around 4 business days, so no complaints there.
First Impression of Medicube Zero Pore Pad
The very first thing that I noticed about the pads was how each side felt completely different. One side was completely smooth, while the other side had a noticeable texture. So it was dual functioning, not only would it treat my pores (with the textured side) but it would smoothen it out. So pore treatment and exfoliation all in one convenient pad format.
I forgot to mention this above but I also read online that these pore pads also treated sebum production, which meant that it would make my skin less oily. So it really was an all in one product for my skin. So I tested it out.
How It Felt Using the Medicube Zero Pore Pad
So, applying the pads wasn’t exactly a complicated procedure. I used them as part of my nighttime routine after cleaning my face. I did read across different reviews that you're supposed to start with the textured side first to directly treat the pores then use the smooth side to clean my skin from dead cells and any excess oil.

Since the pads used exfoliating ingredients like lactic acid and salicylic acid I was a bit cautious when using them. After applying them I paid close attention to how my skin reacted. Thankfully I didn’t experience any irritation, dryness, or discomfort.
My Results After Consistent Use
So it did take a couple of weeks, but I started to notice big changes. For starters, my pores drastically shrank, making my skin look clearer. Secondly, my skin felt really smooth and supple thanks to the active ingredients in the pads.
I also really liked how gentle they felt on my skin. They didn’t cause any irritation, redness, or breakouts, and I was really worried about that part. After using them consistently for like four to five months, my skin looked really clean and felt fresh and hydrated.
What I Liked About The Medicube Zero Pore Pad
While no beauty product is 100% effective, I did find that these pore pads delivered on what they promised to do: treating my pores. That said, I’d like to highlight a few strengths and possible issues to help you decide if it works for you.
