The hormone oxytocin (a nine amino acid peptide that is synthesized in hypothalamic neurons and transported down axons of the posterior pituitary for secretion into blood) secretes within your body whenever you engage in sexual activity. Because of this secretion, endorphins (hormone-like chemicals that bear a close functional resemblance to morphine) are released. When a person is aroused or excited, oxytocin levels not only begin to increase, they are the reason that orgasms come about. Studies have shown that a rise in oxytocin levels can relieve pain; everything from headaches, cramps and overall body aches can be diminished with a simple roll in the hay.

Sex reduces stress and aids sleep
A recent survey revealed that people who have more sex reported that they felt more at ease, happier and learned how to handle stress better. After an orgasm, an intense wave of calm and relaxation overcomes humans (that’s why men usually fall asleep) and it’s a time when people can truly liberate themselves and let go. Everything God Does is Perfect – Everything Happens For A Reason

A king once had a slave who, in all circumstances said: “My king, do not be discouraged because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes…”

One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king, the slave managed to kill the animal but couldn’t prevent his majesty losing a finger. Furious and without showing gratitude, the King said; “if God was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger!”

The slave replied: “Despite all these things,I can only tell you that God is good and everything he does is perfect, He is never wrong!” Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave. Later,he left for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human for sacrifice. In the altar, the savages found out that the king didn’t have one finger in place so he was released because he was considered not “complete” to be offered to the gods… On his return to the palace, he authorized the release of his slave saying; “My friend, God was really good to me! I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger I was let go!

But I have a question: if God is so good, why did He allow me to put you in jail?” He reply: “My king, if I had gone with you, I would have been sacrificed for you because I have no missing finger.” Remember, everything God does is perfect, He is never wrong… Often we complain about life, and the negative things that happen to us, forgetting that nothing is random,and that everything has a purpose… God knows why he chose you to receive this message,please bless someone with it.

How to Lose Weight Fast During Ramadan – How to use Fasting for Weight Loss

I receive a lot of questions in my email asking me how to use Christian fasting for Weight Loss and since Ramadan is upon the Muslims, I will be sharing some secrets on how to use Ramadan for Weight Loss and any kind of spiritual fast for weight loss. So Christians take some notes as well and apply.

Ramadan is an excellent opportunity to lose some weight, although it can be a tough time to keep to a diet plan whether it is weight loss or muscle building but it CAN be done. For those of you who don’t know what’s involved with Ramadan, Ramadan is a month long dawn to dusk fast observed as part of the Muslim religion. This year it started on 20th July and finishes on the 18th of August.

During the daylight you do not drink any liquid (not even water) and you don’t eat any food. The origins of Ramadan are for increased spirituality and as a time to practice self restraint. Some Christians have a similar tradition with Lent where they are encouraged to give up something for 6 weeks.

When you do any form of prolonged fast, you are already resetting your metabolism by the protracted, long overnight fast, as well as the daily fasting. Your metabolism resets and your body begins to change the way it does things.

Weight loss during the first few days is just dehydration. It may be exciting to see that you lost 2-3 pounds in the first day or two, but that’s all water loss and dehydration. No human can lose 2 pounds of fat overnight. It’s just water. But it’s still exciting!


So how can we maximize weight loss during Ramadan?

The most important factor is to avoid gorging or “binge eating” at night. We have found that gorging once a day is the fastest way to gain weight. Your body thinks it’s in a state of famine, and will store everything you eat as fat, because it is worried about food supply. Further, eating once a day scares your body and your body starts to shut down and slow down your metabolism. You don’t want to slow down your metabolism or you will gain weight. I already explained all these in detail here.

As an exercise, restricting yourself from not eating for a period of time is a good one to go through, whether you are Muslim or not, it can help give you confidence that you can cope with hunger and stick to a plan and not give into any cravings you may have. If you are a Muslim and can go without food and drink for this length of time then you should have added confidence that you can stick to any diet plan at any time of the year.


Weight Loss During Ramadan

On the face of it being on a fast you have a real opportunity to lose weight and get ripped if you really want to. However depending on your background and family situation you might be confronted with a lot of treat-like foods when you break your fast. You need to have a mental and physical strategy of how you are going to deal with this, otherwise you could end up in trouble overeating.

The obvious thought process is that ‘I’ve been good all day I’ve stuck to the fast, I can eat whatever I want can’t I?’ Not really, you still need to keep an eye on how many carbs you consume if you want to lose weight. So let’s assume you have free will over what you eat, and your auntie is not going to force feed you samosas and the likes.

What ideally are you going to eat and drink?


1. Drink Water First

As soon as you break your fast, concentrate on getting rehydrated first by drinking water. You are going to be thirstier than you are hungry and hunger often disguises itself as thirst. By rehydrating first you are helping to prevent yourself from overeating. Don’t drink water just by itself, it’s quite hard to try and drink a lot of plain water no matter how thirsty you are. As a minimum you can squeeze some lemon or lime you’re your water to give some flavor, helps you rehydrate and also helps you drink more.

2.  Another option to rehydrate is to have a whey protein shake

Don’t add any extra carbs like fruit or the extras as you may end up feeling full as a result of the shake, just mix whey with water. This will help you get protein into your muscle cells as well as help with hydration.


4 Tips on Foods to eat to break your Ramadan Fast


Tip 1: Once you have rehydrated then its time to think food. Traditionally there may be a lot of ram to eat during Ramadan. Lamb or ram can be quite a fatty meat so if you are going to have this then make sure what you have with it does not have too much additional fat. If possible, the best options are to have chicken and fish. Eat it with the low carb vegetables like cabbage, ugwu, green/spinach, lettuce etc as are recommended in The 4-Week Detox Diet

Other foods you can eat include oats, millet, semolina, beans, lentils, brown rice, “moi-moi”, “akara”, chicken, beef, “suya”, eggs, milk, “ewedu”, “efo”, “tuwo”, “masa”, dried seeds and nut like dates. Vegetables and fruits like oranges, watermelon, banana, pine-apple, apples, celery, lettuce, cucumbers, onions, spinach etc. In the Salad Cookbook of my 101 Flat Belly and Fat Loss Nigerian Cooking 12-set Cookbooks, you would find over 15 different fat-burning delicious salad recipes you can enjoy during Ramadan.


Tip 2: Now that I’ve talked about what to eat, if you really want to lose weight during this season then you must limit the intake of sweets, fried and fatty foods such as bread and baked goods.


Tip 3: You can eat a slightly larger meal but you don’t really need to. You may think ‘I need to overeat to help me get through the whole day without eating’. If you want to lose weight then what is the point of that? The truth is you should want to utilise your excess fat stores to fuel yourself through the day during the fast instead, so no need to overeat.


Tip 4: If you overeat too much at night you could end up creating more fat than you then burn off during the rest of the day to get back to the same starting point when the fast is over. You are going to need to overeat to some degree but just make sure the extra consumption comes from more protein like fish, chicken, eggs etc.

What to eat before daybreak


You have a second feeding opportunity before your daily fast starts.  Again it is important to hydrate yourself fully as you are going to be going all day without a drink so I would make sure that you have a whey protein drink, this kills 2 birds with one stone as you get hydration as well as nutrition. You could also drink lots of water with lemon or lime.

A good option for food is to eat is chicken and spinach omelette (Check the The 4-Week Detox Diet for that), you could make this the evening before and have it ready to eat when you wake up. Eggs are a good option to have as they help keep you feeling fuller for longer. For your meal, drink plenty of water, start with soup and salad, Even a few nuts and an apple is fine. Or you could eat a banana and dark chocolate.

Exercise and training for fat loss during Ramadan


Ah, did you think I would leave this out? *wink, *wink* If you plan to use the Ramadan fasting season as an opportunity to burn off some unwanted fat from your body, then you would have to do some sort of exercising. Just keep it light.

As you will already be de-hydrated by not drinking since when you first woke up, this could affect you especially if you exercise too hard you are likely to become more dehydrated which could result in dizziness and light headedness and lead to passing out. Be sensible and listen to your body and stop at the first signs of any different sensations.

2 ways to exercise for weight loss during any type of Spiritual Fasting


1. Train before you break your fast in the evening

2. Break your fast, drink and eat and then train.

If you are going to train before you break your fast in the evening then let it coincide close to the time you break your fast. So if the fast ends at 6pm then train between 5-6pm. It’s more beneficial to exercise closer to breaking your fast rather than at lunch time because you are then able to get food into your system much quicker after training to start the recovery process and you will be dehydrated for a shorter period of time during the day.

Have a snooze after work

Another good strategy is to have an early evening sleep from when you get home from work until you are ready to exercise. This will help you produce more growth hormone which will aid both fat loss and muscle gain, it will also help take your mind off not being able to eat.

When it comes to exercising for fat loss start with more gentle forms of training like treadmill, bike, rowing machine rather than high intensity intervals, to begin with at least, if you find you can handle the higher intensity then by all means do it but just be careful you don’t dehydrate too much.

When it comes to losing weight if you manage yourself properly particularly eating well then you could get really lose weight during Ramadan or any kind of fastng.

Secondly, you lose to win in marriage. Even when your wife has wounded or hurt you please don’t emphasise it, de-emphasise it. Make sure you put money into her hand even though she has money and do it weekly. Thirdly, when she asks you for money give her more than she asked for and fourthly, when she dresses up for service, turn, ponder and celebrate her; don’t just look at her as though you are a muumuu. Say to her you are gorgeously dressed; you are mesmerising me greatly.

Fifth, accept her relations and her parents particularly; take care of them as you take care of your own parents. If she has a brother invest in that brother, if she has a sister invest in her sister; they will always speak for you because they have eaten your food. No man eats your food without giving you praise. So make sure you invest in those areas. Sixth, love her children. It’s very confusing that men love women but women celebrate children, they adore children. To a woman it’s a beginning of her unending laughter, so if you want your wife to love you love her children, and take care of them. Send them to good schools and celebrate them.

My wife says to me, ‘on the crusade platform you are a big man of God but in this house you are not a big man of God you are just a husband and a father. So don’t walk in here as though you are under anointing. The demons stop in the crusade ground, here we are for celebration. So anytime you walk through the door forget whatever exploits you did at the crusade ground; here you are just an ordinary husband; don’t act as a super preacher because the crowd has gone, only we are left.
Romance is simply giving a woman quality time. It could be five minutes but quality time. Make sure you have what she needs before you meet her. Inject the element of surprise for her, make sure you celebrate her, keep her informed about where you are, that is what every woman needs. In this area I’m an expert. I call her several times in one day and we still exchange love letters.

I make sure I have an element of surprise for her, it could be groundnut wrapped in tissue paper. Something that will surprise her. Women don’t really want money, they want appreciation, they want recognition, they want to be protected. If a man does not have money he must have a bag of humour. The man is an unperformed husband because marriage is a union of two opposites. A man that says stand up and a woman that says why must we stand up. A man who likes garri and a woman who likes rice, a man who likes clothe and a woman who has no interest in clothes. It is this mixture of two opposites that will give the marriage life and progress. Reason #1 – God Tells Us Not to Have Sex Outside of Marriage
In the seventh of God’s Ten Commandments, he instructs us not to have sex with anyone other than our spouse. It is clear that God forbids sex outside of marriage. When we obey God, he is pleased. He honors our obedience by blessing us.
Deuteronomy 28:1-3 If you fully obey the LORD your God … [he] will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God . God has a reason for giving us this command. First and foremost, he knows what’s best for us. By obeying him, we trust God to look out for our best interests.

Reason #2 – We Won’t Miss Out on the Blessing of the Wedding Night
There’s something very special about a couple’s first time. In this physical act the two become one flesh. Yet it is more than just physical oneness — a spiritual union takes place. God planned for this exclusive experience of discovery and pleasure to happen only within the intimacy of marriage. If we don’t wait, we miss out on a very special blessing from God.
1 Corinthians 6:16: Sex is as much spiritual mystery as physical fact. As written in Scripture, “The two become one.” Since we want to become spiritually one with the Master, we must not pursue the kind of sex that avoids commitment and intimacy, leaving us more lonely than ever—the kind of sex that can never “become one.” (The Message)

Reason #3 – We Will Be Spiritually Healthier
If we live as carnal or fleshly Christians, we will seek to gratify the desires of the flesh and live only to please ourselves. If we live this way, the Bible says we cannot please God. We will be miserable under the weight of our sin. As we continue to feed our fleshly desires, our spirit will grow weak and our relationship with God will be destroyed. Complacency with sin leads to worse sin, and eventually, spiritual death.
Romans 8:8,13: Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live …(NIV)

Reason #4 – We Will Be Physically Healthier
This one is a no-brainer. If we refrain from sex outside of marriage, we will be protected from the risk of catching sexually transmitted diseases.
1 Corinthians 6:18: Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. (NLT)

Reason #5 – We Will Be Emotionally Healthier
One reason God tells us to honor marriage and keep the marriage bed pure has to do with baggage. We carry baggage into our sexual relationships. Memories from the past, emotional scars and unwanted mental images can defile our thoughts and make the marriage bed less than pure. Certainly God can forgive the past, but that doesn’t mean we’re free from the baggage that can linger in our minds.
Hebrews 13:4: Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.(NIV)

Reason #6 – We Will Show Consideration for Our Partner’s Well-Being
If we put our partner’s needs above our own and consider their spiritual well-being, we’ll be compelled to wait for sex. We, like God, will want what’s best for them.Ephesians 5:2
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.(NLT) Philippians 2:3: Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; (NASB)

Reason #7 – Waiting is a Test of True Love
Love is patient. That’s about as simple as it gets. We can learn the sincerity of our partner’s love by their willingness, or lack thereof, to wait.
1 Corinthians 13:4-5: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking …(NIV)

Reason #8 – We Will Have No Negative Consequences to Deal With
There are always consequences to sin. Some of those effects can be devastating. An unwanted pregnancy, a decision to have an abortion or place a child for adoption, broken relationships with family and friends — these are just a few of the possible outcomes we face when we choose to have sex outside of marriage. We should be sure to consider the snow ball effect of sin. And what if the relationship does not last? Hebrews 12:1 shows that sin hinders our lives and easily entangles us. We will be much better off if we avoid these negative consequences.

Reason #9 – We Will Keep Our Christian Testimony Intact
We don’t set a very good example of godly living when we disobey God. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:12 to “be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” (NIV)
In Matthew 5:13 Jesus compares his followers to “salt” and “light” when we represent him in the world. When we no longer shine the light of Christ, when we lose our Christian testimony, we lose our “saltiness.” In other words, we become flavorless and bland. We lose our ability to attract the world to Christ. Luke 14:34-35 puts it strongly, saying that salt without saltiness is worthless, not even fit for the manure pile.

Reason #10 – We Won’t Settle For Less Than God’s Perfect Will
When we choose to have sex outside of marriage, we settle for less than God’s perfect will — for ourselves and for our partner. And if we do this, we don’t know what we might end up with. Perhaps we’ll end up in a miserable marriage.
So, here’s some food for thought: If your partner wants sex before marriage, consider this as a warning sign about their spiritual condition. If you are the one who wants sex before marriage, consider this as a warning sign of your own spiritual condition.

4. Discuss your disagreements and personal problems with the LORD. Go to HIM for the advice you need. Always take Godly counsel when in need.

5. Try to live within your financial means. Don’t try to copy the life style of some other couple; keep within your income. And be sure to set aside the tithe for the Lord’s work.

6. Keep your love as romantic as possible. Appreciate each other. Express that appreciation in actual love and affection in the home.

7. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER think of divorce as a solution for your marriage problems. You took your vows “until death do us part.” Divorce never settles anything

8. Keep your eyes on the person you have married, and don’t bother looking around for someone else. Wandering eyes benefit no marriage. It opens the door for the enemy to work out his scheme in your marriage.

9. Read God’s Word and pray together every day. To pray together is to stay together.

10. Let Christ shed the love of God in your heart, and you will be sure to have love for each other.

When you are on your way back at night, say between 11pm and 12am and you get to a traffic light or you get into traffic jam aka hold

When you are in heavy traffic, avoid displaying your phones or laptop bag where it can easily be seen. Endeavour to wind your windows
up if you can’t hide your items. I personally put my bag on the floor of the car and switch my phones off most times.

If you are in an unfamiliar territory, endeavour not to park your car in a lonely street, look for a busier one. If you use car parks, do not leave valuables in your car where they’ll be visible, thereby tempting someone to break in.

When driving home at night andyou have left the highway and approaching your house, always use your back view mirror to determine if you are being followed by another car.

If you notice you are being followed, change your course. Do not make the mistake of going straight home, or passing through a lonely street. You might be followed home and robbed eventually.

If on approaching your house, and you notice strange people hanging around, drive pass and make some necessary calls. They might just be robbers waiting to follow you into the house.

If late at night, your gen is on, and then for no reason it goes off. Pls stay indoors. Many at times, people have been robbed when they come out to check what’s responsible for the gen tripping off.

When in an eatery or whatever joint, do not reveal too much of your self either by phone call or mere chit chat with your friends. . . You never know who might be listening.
